Talk title: Exoplanet Atmospheres in 3D: multidimensional processes and opportunities.

Abstract: I will first give a brief introduction to the observations, and the physical insight they provide for exoplanets, as well as highlighting some key issues. Afterwards, I will focus the modelling work we have performed addressing the dynamical circulations, and radius inflation found in the subset of short period gas giant exoplanets, hot Jupiters. Followed by exploration of the interaction between chemistry (clouds), radiative transfer and dynamics in these same objects, emphasising the 3D nature of the atmospheric mixing. This will be followed by details of state-of-the-art modelling efforts for including condensate species in gas giant exoplanet atmospheres. Time permitting, I will then switch to discussing some results in determining the circulations and water cycles in tidally-locked Earth-like planets, and present results from convection permitting, high resolution, simulations.
